Up & On!

the Holy Grail

the winning try in the final seconds. final score, SAJC 15 - 10 RJC

after 17 long years, we finally won the Police Cup again. the victory's especially sweet since it's against our oldest rivals. well, even though my affiliation to the institution was short, the attachment remains, somehow. mebbe representing the college did the trick i guess.

congratulations fellas!

sophie neveu

audrey tautou

made for the part. gorgeous.

where are youuuuu

i woke up this morning having lost my voice. yes its so weird, so pelik tapi benar. im feeling alright all over, but now i speak with such hoarseness that speaking to people on the phone makes them think im really sick. i tried recalling what i did or eat yesterday, but i doubt any of them could have been a cause. hmmm.. probably the cold drinks that i indulge myself in must have been a factor. what to dooo... the weather's been pretty hot, & for me only ice-cold Coke Light would do. well i just hope the voice comes back soon, because talking can be such a strain when no one can hear what im saying. you get what i mean?

i had the 1st "interview" with the police force last thursday. it turns out to be just an aptitude/psychometric test, a physical checkup, and some document verification exercise. and there i was feeling so tense & nervy all the way from the night before, mentally prepping myself on how to answer probable questions put forth to me, and going to the place all smart-mamat in a long-sleeved shirt, pants & tie. macam goondu when i see a couple of the potential shortlistees wearing t-shirt (yes a bloody t-shirt!) tucked into some crap-looking jeans with sports shoes. well lucky me there are a few others who did wear a similar outfit, minus the tie. and yea the place is a Ministry afterall so the crowd was quite "professional"-looking. just hope that i'll clear this round, and get the chance to attend the board interview. insyallah.

my parents went to port dickson this morning to attend a wedding. apparently its some person they got to know over there while on their many makan outings with their pals. happening aye. so now its just me at home having to babysit the younger sister. shucks staying home on a saturday. how sad...

there's a few movies i wanna watch. if i have the money of course. haha..

1. Da Vinci Code (after i finish the book asap. hehe.. )
2. Mission Impossible 3 ( though i think im running out of time for that)
3. X-Men 3 (definitely definitely will try to watch)

and yea it's been awhile since i've been to the cinemas. so yea it's about time too.

oh and today i celebrated 2 years on the job. never thought i'd stay this long. Ezy Does It! hahaha...

9/11 revisited

i have never really been impressed with the official presumptions of what actually happened. here's some food for thought. check this link out.

ok i dunno how the heck do i make it go straight into it. so just do it the traditional way ya, copy & paste. haha..

just dropping a note..

i have been very very lazy to update anything. even though everyday i have so much stuff in my thoughts, plus the things that i do, and the emotions that i feel, bla bla bla ... all that that can be considered blog-worthy material. to sit down & type, i guess i'm over that phase. at least for the moment. haha..

soooo much has passed since i last updated. the exams ended, (non) elections took place, the epl anti-climaxed, Dia played its last episode, i turned 24, mount merapi erupted, liverpool lucked itself to the FA cup, the list can go on...

well lately i havent been doing much. work has been stop-start, & bumming around at home bores me. been trying to rush-read through the Da Vinci Code book before the movie version opens. so far i've succeeded only 18 pages, for the reading-on-the-bed approach only equates to one thing for me. sleep. every night without fail.

i have a couple of dvds waiting to be watched too. oddly i cant seem to spare the time to sit down and watch them when i can spend hours honing my Winning Eleven skills. haha. never mind, shall save them shows for the next dvd session im tinking of organising soon.

the only thing that i enjoy nowadays is riding my bike. no kidding. it gives me a sense of freedom & ease of mind, just cruising here & there to nowhere & everywhere. well of course i gotta watch the petrol consumption too la. yea and bit by bit now im slowly prepping up my bike, adding a little bit of accessories here & there if i have the extra money. the other day i went to this Yishun dam, where it's a scenic spot for the general public to chill out by the edges of the reservoir. a lot of families, car enthusiasts, & bikers were there. i met up with this group of malay riders, all super4 bikes. in total about 20 of us. imagine how fun it'd be if we were to ride in a convoy. hehe..

anyways, some of my friends are going off to bangkok. my cousin is asking me to go to bangkok. my colleagues were suggesting to go to bangkok. seems like that's the in destination to go aye. yea how i wish i could. cheap tees, interesting sights, happening nightlife. but too bad im stricken with loans now. not that i dont have the savings, but rather the thought of coming back after all the holidaying as a pauper. now that's a situation i wanna avoid. responsibilities i guess. shucks.

on another note, i went jogging 3 times over this past week. simply put, it was a total struggle. my fitness level has totally gone back to square -1. that's like reminiscient to my pre-rugby, pre-army days. all the puffing over the years, it showed. terrible. never mind la hopefully slowly i can regain some of it back.

ok i guess that's enough of a ramble for now. i'll try to keep the updates more consistent from now on aite. cheers.
